The launch of its first foldable might have been delayed but OnePlus has just announced that its new Buds Pro 2R earbuds have gone on sale in Europe and the UK offering many of the same features as the Buds Pro 2 but at the more affordable price of £149. If you pre-order the Buds Pro 2R you can get them for just £129, saving a handy £20 off the RRP.

Besides featuring the same 11mm and 6mm dual drivers plus the 48dB Active Noise Canceling as the Buds Pro 2, the Buds Pro 2R also boasts IP55 water and dust-resistance, fast wired charging, and battery life of up to 36 hours. There is also support for Bluetooth 5.3 and LHDC 4.0 present.

While the Buds Pro 2R does feature Spatial Audio, it doesn’t offer head tracking which means the sound field doesn’t adjust when you move your head. Another feature present on the Buds Pro 2 that is missing on the Buds Pro 2R is wireless charging although thanks to the fast wired charging producing 10 hours of playback from a 10 minute charge, the inconvenience should be limited.

There’s no word on whether the Buds Pro 2R will launch in the US at this time, but we’ll update the article if/when OnePlus issues an update. Those in Europe and the UK can pre-order the Buds Pro 2R earbuds in the Misty White colorway directly from the OnePlus Store for €129/£129 with orders said to start shipping from September 26.
